Getting Started

We offer courses tailored to your goals. Our intensive programs let you complete all your lessons and take your practical test in a short period — ideal if you want to start driving as quickly as possible.
If you prefer a more flexible approach, you’re in control. You can schedule your lesson hours to suit your lifestyle and learning pace, making it easy to learn in a way that works best for you.

At Pass Drive School, we offer three specially designed driving courses to suit different levels of experience:

Beginner Course – Perfect for those starting from scratch with no prior experience.

Intermediate Course – Ideal if you’ve had some lessons and want to develop your skills further.

Refresher Course – Great for confident learners who need a final boost before taking their test.

Each course offers a range of lesson hour options, so you can choose the one that best matches your current abilities. For full details on all three courses, visit the “Our Courses” section on our website.

Yes! You can top up your course with extra lessons at a pro-rata rate if you need them. We just recommend keeping your practical test date realistic, allowing enough time to feel confident and fully prepared before you take the test.

Your course includes the exact number of driving hours listed on your booking confirmation, so you always know what to expect. You’ll work with the same instructor throughout, and when it’s time for your test, you’ll take it in the same car you’ve been practicing in — helping you feel confident and at ease on your test day.

Absolutely. Many learners find intensive driving courses especially helpful for building confidence. With a structured schedule and your test already planned, everything feels more organised and manageable. Lessons are spaced closely together, making it easier to remember what you’ve learned and gradually build your confidence — no matter your starting level.

Absolutely! You can learn in either a manual or an automatic car — the choice is entirely yours.
Simply select your preference when booking your course and practical test.

Lessons & Courses

Yes! When you book a course, you’ll receive your Learner Diary, which outlines all your lesson dates and times so you always know what’s coming up.
You can schedule your lessons yourself, or get guidance from your allocated instructor if you prefer.
All course hours are completed before your practical test, keeping your learning structured and focused. With your Learner Diary, you stay in control of your progress from start to finish.

Not at all. Our courses are flexible and designed to fit your needs. Depending on your schedule and your instructor’s availability, you can tailor your course to the lesson times and hours that work best for you.

Yes! Our DVSA-approved instructors can pick you up and drop you off within the area around your practical test centre.
You can discuss the exact details when booking, or with your allocated instructor once your course begins.

Price & Payments

The cost of our intensive driving courses depends on the number of hours you choose. Every course includes both your practical and theory tests, so the only difference is the number of lesson hours included.
You can view the full list of prices on our Courses page.

Our goal is to help you pass your practical test quickly and smoothly — and ensuring our learners are happy is just as important.
For your peace of mind, we offer a full refund if:

We don’t book your practical test within 21 working days of your booking.

We can’t connect you with a driving instructor in time for your lessons to be completed.

Paying is simple! You can book online by selecting your course and test centre, and the price will cover both your driving lessons and your practical test.

If you prefer, you can also call us on 01522 424004 and our team will help you set everything up and send your confirmation.

Payments are secure and we accept all major credit and debit cards.

Unfortunately, we do not offer payment in installments at this time.

The Driving Test

When you book your course, you can choose your practical test from the dates available at your local test centre. Your test will always take place during the final 2 hours of your course.
Once your booking is confirmed, we’ll provide the exact time, date, and test centre details.
For the latest test availability, you can also call us on 01522 424004 and our team will be happy to help.

The test dates we offer were booked well in advance — some as far back as last year. Thanks to these early reservations, we can provide our current learners with available slots, giving you the chance to take your test much sooner than if you booked directly.

No driving school can guarantee a pass, as the outcome depends on you on the day of the test. However, we’re proud of the success our learners achieve.
At Practical Pass, our current pass rates range from 72% to 94%, depending on the course — significantly above the national average.

Yes — each driving course automatically reserves 2 hours for your test day. For example, if you book a 20-hour course, you’ll have 18 hours of lessons with your instructor beforehand. On test day, one hour is used to familiarise yourself with the local roads around the test centre, followed by your one-hour practical test.
